____ In May this year the TV cameras came to Cuddington, Buckinghamshire to film CiCi CoCo in their kitchen for a new SKY Living programme called ‘Cooks to Market’

____ The CiCi-CoCo Kitchen is an award wining artisan food company, the  business has been slowly growing over the last 18 months and when the opportunity to appear on the TV programme presented itself Simon and Giuliana grabbed the opportunity.

____ Each programme in the series follows to progress of two couples as they develop, cook and sell their products at market. The couple that sell and make the most profit on market day then get to pitch their products to a panel of buyers from the industry.

____ Simon and Giuliana presented their speciality Lasagna to the programme hosts and mentors Gizzi Erskine, celebrity chef and writer, and James Averdieck the founder of Gu Chocolate puddings.

BREAKING NEWS: Great Taste Awards 2012

We are thrilled to announce that we have won 3 Great Taste Awards in the 2012 competition.

This adds to the 1 that we won in 2011 on our first attempt for the Lasagna alla Bolognese, our classic free range beef & pork lasagna.

This years winners were:
___ Pork, Apple and Quince Lasagna

___ Our special, Lasagna alla Napoletana, based on a recipe from Naples and made with free range pork meatballs, mozzarella & free range egg…

___ and our third awards was for our Vegetable Caponata, a Sicilian antipasto…

This is amazing news and beyond our wildest expectations. It makes us all the more determined to see our product on a shelf near you soon!

New Pasta Sauces

We have been asked by lots of customers if we do some pasta sauces so we have decided to give it a try. We are not selling the sauces just yet but trying out the sauces on some of our loyal and decerning cutomers at the East Oxford Community Market. Today is also Love Your Local Market day so the BBC Radio Oxford will also be at the market so listen out for us…

Will be great to see what people think and develop the sauces further with some local suppliers…

Quince Jelly

Quince Jelly is just one of the amazing products that Colin & Elspeth Wainwright produce from the humble quince. We met them at one of our first markets, the Waterperry Apple Festival back in 2010. Colin gave us some valuable advice on how to run the stall but more importantly we were introduced to their products. Since then we have been using their award winning Quince Jelly in our Special ‘Pork, Apple & Quince Lasagna.’

The Claytons | Pork & Ginger

In our Village of Cuddington Ben and Karen Clayton raise and sell rare breed Oxford & Sandy Black pigs under the great name of Pork & Ginger. We use the pork once a year to make our special ‘Cuddington Fete’ Lasagna Napoletana which we sell from a stall outside our house during the fete day. If you ever get then chance come along to the fetem it is one of the best around. In 2012 it is on 14th July.

Ben also makes some fantasic pork pies and sausages which are a real treat!
