Christmas is approaching fast and the Cuddington Christmas Fair takes places tomorrow in the beautiful Bernard Hall in Cuddington. We will be taking along our Christmas Boxes of Caponata and our Boxed pack of Tomato Sauces…a ¬†perfect gift for Christmas – local and tasty. We hope to see you there 2-4pm.

Something for all that Christmas Cheese?

Ready for the Christmas season have packaged up two Caponatas to make the perfect Christmas Gift. A Caponata is an Sicilian antipasto (which is simply a starter eaten before the pasta course!) and is a slightly sweet and sour vegetable relish. It is fantastic eaten with cheese, as an accompaniment for meat or fish or perfect piled on some thick toasted bread drizzled with a little olive old and rubbed with garlic. The gift box contains two Caponata’s; one made with summer vegetables and the other made with winter vegetables, each is delicious and unique.

The gift box contains:
_ Our Great Taste Award Winning Caponata -Our original antipasto is made with aubergine, peppers, celery, tomatoes as well as olives, capers, pine nuts and a family spice mix.

_ Our newly developed Winter Caponata made with winter vegetables; fennel, cauliflower, apple, sultanas & almonds.

Our Caponata…

After winning a Great Taste Award this year for our Sicilian antipasto, we have just jarred our first batch… it will now be available both in plastic tubs but also for the pantry in jars so you always have some available… the first ones were delivered to the beautiful Sandy Lane Farm this morning… and they look and taste amazing.

BREAKING NEWS: Great Taste Awards 2012

We are thrilled to announce that we have won 3 Great Taste Awards in the 2012 competition.

This adds to the 1 that we won in 2011 on our first attempt for the Lasagna alla Bolognese, our classic free range beef & pork lasagna.

This years winners were:
___ Pork, Apple and Quince Lasagna

___ Our special, Lasagna alla Napoletana, based on a recipe from Naples and made with free range pork meatballs, mozzarella & free range egg…

___ and our third awards was for our Vegetable Caponata, a Sicilian antipasto…

This is amazing news and beyond our wildest expectations. It makes us all the more determined to see our product on a shelf near you soon!
