Tasting the Lombardia Lasagna di Magro / Degustazione dalla Lombardia: la Lasagna di Magro

Still in its early stages we have asked some of our friends to taste this second variety. This vegetable lasagna is inspired by a recipe from the Lombardia area of Italy… we have our fingers crossed that the feedback will be positive. It looks as though we will need to develop a special sauce not available in the UK to go into the lasagna … sounds strange but it is an kind of italian version of our Picallili that goes really well with vegetables and meats!

____ Giuliana ha lavorato sodo in cucina per produrre la seconda delle nostre lasagne. Siamo ancora allo stadio iniziale ma abbiamo chiesto ad alcuni amici di assaggiare questa seconda varieta’. Questa lasagna a base di verdure prende ispirazione da una tradizionale ricetta lombarda …teniamo le dita incrociate che i risultati di questi assaggi siano positivi. E’ probabile che, per essere piu’ vicini alla ricetta originale, dovremo produrre una conserva speciale che non e’ reperibile in Inghilterra…suona un po’ strano ma e’ una specie di versione italiana del Picalilli inglese che accompagna molto bene carni e verdure!
