Our Story

____ When Giuliana moved to Britain from Italy over 10 years ago lasagna (and a food business) was the last thing on her mind. Improving her Inglese and Following her dream of a career in fashion was top priority.

____ Now 10 years on, two children and more shoes than she can possibly fit in a wardrobe later she decided to start on her next adventure. That one thing her friends always Looked forward to is coming around for dinner – not the usual three course menu but a relaxed, big pot of pasta and a few glasses of wine affair. Giuliana cooked dishes for her family and friends exploring different regionally recipes. It did not matter where Giuliana friends were from they all loved her food and this was the seed of the idea for Giuliana’s next adventure – The CiCi CoCo Kitchen.

____ It started with lasagna, a staple of the Italian family and quite distinct in different regions of Italy. In Italy Lasagna simply Refers to a type of pasta, and Lasagna al Forno is a dish baked in the oven Consisting of alternating layers of pasta, cheese and sauce. These layers change regionally according to Functional the best locally and seasonally available ingredients.

____ Her first range of lasagnes were based on the values ​​of authentic Italian cooking; using the best available ingredients and cooking them simply with respect. They were inspired by regional recipes That Giuliana has collected from family and friends across Italy.

____ Giuliana called her new adventure CiCi CoCo meaning things that go together perfectly and a phrase from a famous Italian nursery rhyme … I guess that’s what happens when you have children.

____ Now a few years on, with lots of awards, A TV appearance and a wider range of dishes Giuliana has  created the CiCi CoCo Kitchen Cookery School. It began in Autumn 2013 and allows Giuliana to share her recipes, knowledge and passion for local and seasonal ingredients with a wider audience.
